ABS one-of-a-kind braking system. It is used to stop any vehicle at the right time. So that no kind of accident happens. The process of this system is very complex and fast. ABS takes less than a second to work. The ABS provides balance and control to the vehicle as soon as the brakes are applied and prevents any kind of accident.
ABS consists of four main components, including speed sensors, valves, electronic control units, and hydraulic control units.
The speed sensor monitors the speed of all the wheels of the vehicle. The valve controls the air pressure during braking. The electronic control unit filters the signal received by the sensor according to the speed of the wheels. Hydraulic control unit works as the last component. It applies the brake antilock condition according to the signal received by the electronic control unit.
ABS is a must-have feature for any vehicle. When you brake, ABS monitors the speed of each wheel with the help of sensors. During this, the decreasing speed of the wheels determines the speed. And the electronic control unit indicates applying the brakes according to the signal.
The Government of India has made ABS mandatory in all trains with capacity above 125 cc.

ABS एक तरह का ब्रेकिंग सिस्टम। इसका इस्तेमाल किसी भी गाड़ी को सही समय पर रोकने के लिए किया जाता है। ताकि किसी तरह का हादसा ना होने पाए। इस सिस्टम का प्रक्रिया बहुत पेचीदा और तेज है। ABS को काम करने में सेकेंड से भी कम टाइम लगता। अचानक ब्रेक लगाते ही ABS गाड़ी को संतुलन और नियंत्रण प्रदान करता है और किसी तरह का हादसा होने से रोकता है।
ABS में चार मुख्य कंपोनेंट होते हैं, जिसमें स्पीड सेंसर,वाल्व, इलेक्ट्रॉनिक कंट्रोल यूनिट और हाइड्रोलिक कंट्रोल यूनिट शामिल है।
स्पीड सेंसर गाड़ी के सभी पहियों की स्पीड को मॉनिटर करता है।वाल्व ब्रेकिंग के दौरान एयर प्रेशर को कंट्रोल करता है। इलेक्ट्रॉनिक कंट्रोल यूनिट पहियों की रफ्तार के अनुसार सेंसर द्वारा प्राप्त सिग्नल को फिल्टर कर आंकलन करता है। सबसे आखरी कंपोनेंट के तौर पर हाइड्रोलिक कंट्रोल यूनिट काम करता है। यह इलेक्ट्रोनिक कंट्रोल यूनिट द्वारा मिले हुए सिग्नल के मुताबिक ब्रेक एंटीलॉक कंडीशन में अप्लाई करता है।
ABS किसी भी गाड़ी के लिए जरूरी फीचर है। जब आप ब्रेकअप्लाई करते हैं तो ABS सेंसरों की मदद से हर एक पहियों की रफ्तार की पूरी निगरानी करता है। इस दौरान पहियों के घटते बढ़ते गति को निर्धारित करता है। और इलेक्ट्रॉनिक कंट्रोल यूनिट सिग्नल के मुताबिक ब्रेक को अप्लाई करने का संकेत देता है।
भारत सरकार ने 125 सीसी के ऊपर क्षमता वाले सभी गाड़ियों में ABS अनिवार्य कर दिया है।
